Pet Loss and Grief Seminar: April 29 in Allentown, PA

DREXEL HILL, PADay By Day Pet Caregiver Support will present a FREE Pet Loss & Grief seminar entitled “Coping with Life After the Loss of a Pet” on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 2:00 p.m.- 3:30 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home, located at 274 Krocks Rd., Allentown, PA. Light snacks and beverages will be served.

The hour and a half seminar will focus on providing support to pet families after experiencing the loss of a beloved pet. Topics to be discussed include: the human-animal bond, learning about the grief journey, the need to mourn, coping with grief, struggling with guilt and regrets, healing through grief, children and pets in grief, memorialization, and when to consider adopting again. Each attendee will receive a FREE grief packet.

“We understand how important it is for pet families to be supported while coping on their grief journey after the loss of a beloved pet,” said Matthew Stephens, Owner, Stephens Funeral Home. “We are pleased to be able to partner with Day By Day Pet Caregiver Support to bring such an important seminar like this to our community.”

A first-of-its-kind organization in the Greater Philadelphia area, Day By Day Pet Caregiver support is focused on providing a safe, secure, non-judgmental environment for emotional support as well as educational tools to help pet families become more informed advocates and caregivers for their beloved pets.

Day By Day Pet Caregiver Support, a 501 c (3) organization, provides no cost services which include monthly support groups in 8 locations, a 24/7 telephone hotline, weekly live online support chats, on-going telephone check-in service and participation in an internet Yahoo Group. Additionally, a comprehensive website is available where visitors will find educational information such as a list of questions to ask veterinarians regarding pet caregiving as well as a listing of local pet caregiving services and resources.
